Manufacturers We Work With

Where Manufacturing Campaigns Break
Three failures are close to universal in industrial marketing.
The site sells the company and the engineer is searching a specification. Nobody types “quality contract manufacturer.” They type a process, a material, a tolerance or a standard number, and the site has no page for any of them.
Low search volume gets read as no opportunity. A term with forty searches a month can carry a seven-figure program, and a marketing plan scoped on volume throws those terms out before anyone checks what they are worth.
The directories get treated as the whole channel. A paid listing puts the company beside every competitor on someone else’s page. Nothing accumulates and the listing stops the month the invoice does.
How We Run a Manufacturing Campaign
Build a Page for Every Capability
Processes, materials, tolerances, industries served and certifications each get a page, because that is the granularity at which an engineer searches. This grid is the whole campaign, and most manufacturers have three pages where they need forty.
Score Keywords by Program Value, Not Volume
A term is evaluated on what one resulting program is worth and how likely the shop is to win it. That reverses the normal keyword filter and is the only sane way to prioritize in a category where the best searches have double-digit volume.
Publish the Specification, Not the Sales Pitch
Tolerances, capacities, materials, lead times and certifications go on the page in the form an engineer would check them. Vagueness reads as inability to a technical buyer, and the shops that publish real numbers get shortlisted by the ones that do not.
Follow the Quote, Not the Form Fill
Quote requests get tracked through to programs won, so the campaign is judged on awarded work rather than on inquiries. In a category with an eighteen-month cycle, that means reporting on pipeline stage rather than on monthly totals.
Get Shortlisted When Procurement Asks an Assistant
Buyers now ask models to shortlist suppliers by capability, certification and location. The GEO work makes the capability and certification data legible to those models, then measures which suppliers get named for the searches that matter.
Industrial marketing is usually sold on volume in a category where volume is the wrong measure entirely.
Focus Digital scopes the keyword set by what a program is worth, builds the capability grid at the granularity an engineer searches, and publishes the specifications rather than the adjectives. Focus Digital does nothing but search, and the organic and AI work is scoped as one program against the same quote pipeline.
Manufacturing Results
Three campaigns sold to technical buyers, measured in quote requests and qualified opportunities rather than in traffic.
A technical services provider whose entire pipeline starts with an RFQ, competing in a crowded metro market. Organic search now delivers around 25 quote requests a month, and the second half of the year ran slightly ahead of the first rather than falling back after a launch spike.
Read the case study →Almost no presence for the compliance and testing services it sells, in a category where the standard number is the search. A technical content strategy built around test types and standards now puts the lab in front of 320,000 searches across every service area.
Read the case study →A technical product bought through a long evaluation, by a specialist who researches for months and contacts nobody. Half a year passed without one inbound opportunity. Evaluation and comparison content written for that specialist now brings in about two qualified enterprise opportunities a month, including one global name.

Contract manufacturing and machining, where the search is a process and a tolerance
Testing, inspection and certification, where the standard number is the keyword
Industrial equipment and components, specified long before anyone is contacted
Distributors and suppliers, competing with the manufacturers they carry
Industrial software and automation, sold to engineers and to the plant floor
Specialty fabrication, where the winnable searches have almost no volume and enormous value
Industrial and commercial technical services, where every job starts with an RFQ
What Is Included in a Manufacturing Campaign
The capability grid: process, material, tolerance, industry and certification pages
Program-value keyword scoring instead of a volume-ranked list
Specification content built from your real capabilities and lead times
Quote tracking through to awarded programs, reported by pipeline stage
Five senior people on your account, each with five to ten years in search behind them
Reporting on qualified quote requests, with targets at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months
Key Things to Know About Manufacturing Search
An engineer searching a specific process with a specific material is describing a program worth six or seven figures. Volume-ranked keyword lists discard those terms first, which is why so many industrial sites end up optimized for words nobody with a budget types.
Procurement and engineering search by capability, tolerance, material and standard. Pages organized around company divisions or service lines miss those searches completely, and reorganizing the site around capabilities usually finds demand nobody knew existed.
A listing on an industrial directory puts the company on a page beside every competitor, and it disappears when the subscription lapses. A capability page on the company’s own domain ranks for the same search, accumulates authority and is not sitting next to a competitor’s quote form.
When a buyer asks a model for suppliers who can hold a tolerance, hit a material spec or hold a certification, the answer comes from whichever sites state those facts explicitly. Marketing language is invisible to that process. Numbers and standards are not.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does it cost, and when does the investment pay back?
Quoted on the first call, once we have seen the capabilities and the competitive set. What we can publish: 305 organic quote requests across twelve months for one industrial services client, running at about 25 a month and steady across all four quarters. Program value in your category decides the rest.
How long before we see quote requests?
Technical terms often move faster than consumer categories because the competition is thin. First qualified inquiries typically arrive in months three to four, and because the sales cycle runs long, awarded programs from those inquiries land later. Targets are set at three, six, nine and twelve months.
Our sales cycle is eighteen months. How do we judge this before then?
By pipeline stage rather than by closed revenue. Quote requests, qualified opportunities and quoted value all move well before anything is awarded, and those are the numbers reported monthly.
We tried an industrial marketing agency before and got nothing but directory listings. What is different?
Directory spend rents visibility on somebody else’s page. This builds capability pages on your own domain that rank for the same searches and keep working. The listings can stay if they produce, but they are not the strategy.
How much engineering time does this take?
Roughly an hour a month, mostly confirming specifications and lead times. Publishing the wrong tolerance is worse than publishing nothing, so that review step is not optional.
Do you work with competing shops?
Not with overlapping capabilities in the same market. Where two manufacturers would compete for the same programs, we take one.
Do not book the call if the quote board has to fill this quarter, if the decision is a lowest-bid comparison, or if nobody in engineering can spare an hour a month to check specifications.

We will go through which capabilities have real search demand behind them, what a program from those searches is worth, and how the quote pipeline should be measured. You will see live dashboards from industrial campaigns running now. If your capabilities have no search demand at all, we will tell you on the call.
